Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring on my guided trip?

The following are the essentials:

A valid Fishing License and Tag, bring Food and Beverages as necessary to keep you fueled throughout the day, Camera, Rain Gear, Warm Layers, Sunglasses, Hat, Sunscreen, Motion Sickness Meds, and a Big Cooler for your dressed fish and any other personal items. Watch the weather and remember it’s always colder on the water.

What is provided on my trip?

I provide the following:

All equipment (rods, reels, lures, bait, etc.) All life jackets and safety gear, A professionally maintained custom boat with clean, quiet Evinrude and Yamaha outboards, Cleaning, filleting and bagging of fish at the end of the day. Note! I can also smoke your Salmon for you with my Hotline Smoked Salmon Recipe!

Can I use my own tackle?

Yes, on a few occasions anglers have brought their own rods, but seldom use them. I use only the best equipment, Lamiglas rods, Shimano reels, all matching and top quality. All equipment is maintained and set up for peak performance!

Can you handle group & company trips?

Yes! Whether you need 2 boats or 5+ boats I have the resources necessary to book a large group outing. By partnering with other top guides in the area I can accommodate any size group. Need to set up a small tournament for a group? Let me take care of you. I can set up a weigh-in with lunch and awards to follow.

Where do we meet you?
We meet at the ramp or dock. The Boat Leaves At ….o’clock- If you’ve been asked to meet at a certain time in the morning don’t be late. Fishing at daylight, hitting the tide or getting the hole can make or break a successful day and even 15 minutes can make a huge difference. Guests are asked to call 503.330.8576 a day or two in advance of their trip date to confirm departure location and time. You can get directions to the docks I use on the Boat Ramps page.
Where are the bathrooms?
Men have it easy but for the ladies, I will take you in to the facilities if you need them. I will usually tell the ladies the best time of day for a break and we can make plans accordingly.
